Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Overview

PercoSec is a decentralized protocol. By its nature, the core protocol operates on a public blockchain where all transactions are publicly visible. This Privacy Policy describes how the PercoSec website (the “Website”) and any associated off-chain services handle information about visitors and users.

PercoSec does not require user account creation, email registration, or personal identification to interact with the protocol. Wallet connections are handled client-side and wallet addresses are public by design.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 On-chain Data

All on-chain interactions - deposits, withdrawals, claims, risk score reads - are recorded on the Solana blockchain. This data is public, immutable, and outside the scope of this Privacy Policy. We do not control on-chain data.

2.2 Website Analytics

The Website uses privacy-respecting analytics tooling that does not set cookies or collect personally identifiable information. Aggregate metrics (page views, geographic region at country level, device type) may be collected to improve the Website. No user-level tracking occurs.

2.3 Indexer Data

Our off-chain indexer processes and stores on-chain events derived from the Solana blockchain. This data includes transaction hashes, wallet addresses (which are public), and protocol-specific event data (pool interactions, claim events). This data mirrors public blockchain data and is used to power the Website's data displays.

2.4 Log Data

Our servers may automatically record standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps of requests. Log data is retained for no more than 30 days and is used solely for security monitoring and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and improve the Website and documentation
  • Monitor for and respond to security incidents
  • Debug technical issues with the Website or indexer
  • Aggregate anonymized usage statistics for protocol improvement

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies

The Website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies may be used to maintain session state (e.g., wallet connection status) and are not used for cross-site tracking. You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies, though this may affect Website functionality.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share personal information with third parties except:

  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of PercoSec contributors or users
  • In connection with infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) under data processing agreements

6. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for 30 days. Indexed blockchain data (which mirrors public on-chain data) is retained indefinitely for protocol history purposes. Analytics aggregate data has no retention limit, as it contains no personal information.

7. Your Rights

To the extent applicable under your jurisdiction's privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we collect minimal personal information, these rights have limited practical application.

Wallet addresses and on-chain transaction data are public blockchain data and cannot be deleted by PercoSec or anyone else - deletion of blockchain data is technically impossible by design.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect information processed by our off-chain infrastructure. However, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

9. Children's Privacy

The Protocol is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the most recent revision is displayed at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

11. Contact

For privacy-related inquiries, please contact the PercoSec contributors via the official channels listed in the documentation.
